Bangkok Letters to the Editor

Letters to the editor are an important element to Bangkokexpat.com’s coverage of Bangkok, Central Thailand and the Eastern Seaboard. We welcome your letters and make every effort to publish as many as we can and in a timely manner.

To ensure that your letter will be published, Bangkokexpats.com has drafted these guidelines for letter writers:

  • We welcome letters from readers on any issue of public interest. Please include printed name, address and a telephone number so we can contact you for verification purposes only. Your can use a pseudo name if you like and we will not publish your name with the published letter unless you request that we do so. Letters should be 200 words or less. Letters may be edited for clarity, brevity, libel and taste. Bangkokexpats.com will only publish one letter a month from the same writer, part of our effort to get more letters from more people in the paper.
  • Personal view and guest commentary columns are encouraged. These columns should be 400 words or less. As with the letters, they will be edited for clarity, brevity, libel and taste.
  • Only original material will be used.
  • Open letters or letters to a third party will not be accepted.
  • Poetry will not be accepted.
  • If you want your opinion to reach our editors, but do not want it published as a letter to the editor, please send email with no attachments to editor@bangkokexpats.com
  • To send a press release or news tip, please send email with photographs (if any) to editor@bangkokexpats.com

Keep your letters coming. We love to hear from you.
